Easter FUN!

Yes, Easter started at 3 a.m. when Erik yelled from his room, "Can we get up and check now??!" NO!! After a bit of back rubbing and reassuring him that it would just be a few more hours, he went back to sleep. It rained a lot, so the Easter Bunny left their gifts at the front door, and I brought them inside.

A few adorable powdery prints were left on the porch by the Easter bunny. The rest were washed away by the rain.

Pedar's confirmation picture.
We got to St. John's 30 minutes before our service started and had to time to kill so we looked for Dagny, Leif and Pedar's confirmation pictures! Found them!

Made it home from church around 11 a.m. and immediately turned on Erik's new bubble maker.

Bridget, Chuck, Liam, Lila, Nana, Pop-Pop, Mor-Mor and Pop-Pop all arrived around Noon for some Easter fun!

We made the kids hide in Casey's room while we hid eggs in the back and front yards--they RAN out of that room and went at it as soon as we told them we were ready!!

Hand Towel

The other night Pedar was getting Erik out of the tub and he realized he didn't have a big towel so he used a hand towel. It was the perfect size for our little dude. What he lacks in size he makes up for in noise and personality!!

Love = Kelly + Erin

Erin and Kelly = LOVE
My fantastic friend Erin is in love with the equally fantastic Kelly. When Erin told me about Kelly--I was blown away. Kelly has been a surrogate Mom --three times--for gay couples. She also has three gorgeous children of her own! Kelly is the epitome of unconditional love--she made precious babies for someone else to love!

I used to worry about Erin. She struggled with employment, finances and finding the right person. I wrote about sending her some prayers here a couple of years ago and I want to THANK YOU, because your prayers WORKED! Erin has a great job and she has found AMAZING love.

I am looking forward to spending more time soon with Kelly and Erin. I love being around my friends that are in LOVE!

Random thoughts

I feel like nothing that I want is moving forward. I want to move forward on buying the house, or I want it to end. I just want some clear decision making and for all the darn waiting to STOP! I feel like a crazy woman to keep holding onto hope. I have to wait though. I've looked at other houses and I will keep looking. But this house, in this neighborhood, with this yard and for this price, just doesn't happen very often.

Having only one toilet is frustrating. I've been spoiled with two and I want it back. Yes, I'm a whiner. I know what I want and it's OK to want what I want. It's OK!!! I miss my bathroom sink too, oh and shower.

Why do my boys move so slow? I feel like I am yelling at them to put their shoes on and get out the door anytime we want to go anywhere!!!

It's been so long since we've taken on a big project, that I forgot that every house project takes much longer and much more money than expected. Ugh.

My poison oak looks terrible. Thank goodness it is cool enough to wear pants. I feel so lovely--NOT!

Damn, is my Aunt Flo from the Red Sea coming soon, or what? I need to go hole myself up in a cave for awhile. The End. Love, Nora

Happy Monday

On Friday, Dagny and I lunched with Lindsey! I didn't take any pictures of us--just the crazy pretzel at Firestone. We had a great time catching up with Lindsey and are looking forward to her 21st Vegas Birthday trip this July!!!

Erik picked out this cool hat at Target yesterday. This morning he decided it was really cool to wear it to the side.

The sunset was gorgeous last night.

We're getting excited about Easter Sunday. Erik already enjoyed an egg hunt at Montessori on Friday. Pedar was lucky enough to be able to attend.

Bathroom destruction

We took apart our tiny master bathroom this weekend.

We've needed to rip apart this bathroom for over ten years. Pedar and I are still hoping that we move and turn sweet Oxbow into a rental home. But if it doesn't happen, we will enjoy a nice new bathroom! The bank took the house off the auction block till April 8--so I am hoping for some significant progress before then. I want to sign the darn escrow paperwork and begin planning our move! I feel like this is the week we will know whether or not it is going to happen. They asked us to sign the offer paperwork again with a wet signature. We signed it back on Sept. 6, 2012. We hope this means that everyone involved is moving forward again with this sale. Please oh please, let this all happen!!

Removing the cabinet and toilet

I removed the linoleum tiles I put in this bathroom over ten years ago.

Pedar removed the shower doors and walls this morning.

We need to fix a bit of plumbing and then we will be able to start putting it all back together.

The kids have been very patient with all of the work we have been doing. House projects with a 4 and 8-year-old is so much better than with little ones!
