This morning we found out that we are having another boy! He looks healthy and beautiful. Casey has been asking for a girl. I drove to Montessori right after our appt because I wanted to tell him so badly. Casey looked up at me and said, "What are you doing here?" I said, "I wanted to tell you that we are going to have a baby boy! You are going to have a little brother!" He just smiled and said, "Look at my job (this magnet game thingy)!" His teachers told me he had been waiting to play with this special magnet toy and you know how three and half year olds can be, we can just call him "one track" for short!
We're still thinking about names and I am letting go quickly of my butterfly nursery theme. We are very excited and can't wait to welcome this precious little boy into our family!
We love you all!!

Our beautiful cousin Lindsey turned 16-years-old today. Lindsey and her sister Megan were the flower girls in our wedding seven years ago. Lindsey and Megan have grown into such beautiful, thoughtful and loving young women. We adore you Lindsey (and Megan)! Happy 16th Birthday!

We recently took Casey to Half Moon Bay so he could dip his toes in the ocean. We realized he hadn't been to the ocean in almost two years. Casey loved every minute of it-- and he was so good for the two hour + car trip. We went with our neighbors; Jim, Melanie and Jacob. Jacob and Casey had a great time playing in the sand. The cool weather was a nice treat after so many days of 100+. We look forward to many more beach trips.

Recently Pedar and I went to Las Vegas. It was a work trip for Pedar, but we were able to spend a lot of time together. We went to see "La Reve", it was fabulous. We stayed at the Wynn Hotel -- soo beautiful. The hotel is right across the street from the Fashion Mall, we had a great time shopping and hanging out by the pool. It even rained a bit on Sunday and Monday. It was the first time I was away from Casey for three nights. I carried around this picture of Casey in the bathtub to help me remember what a happy boy he is and that he was having a blast with Nana and Pop-Pop!

Casey LOVES dressing up like Batman and Dash from the "Incredibles." For a few weeks he even had the kids at Montessori calling him Dash. It is getting really HOT again in Sac Town, but he STILL wants to put his costumes on after school. Here are some recent pics of my little super hero!
We spent the 4th of July in Tahoe at Pedar's folks gorgeous cabin. The hit of the weekend was Casey's bike trailer. He is loving going on bike rides. Pedar and I feel like we finally have a way to travel and get some exercise!! We rode all the way to the Ehrman Mansion at Sugar Pine Point. On the ride back Casey started resting his head on the little bar in front of him. I had to keep talking to him so he wouldn't fall asleep!! We were afraid he would just fall off! We also went to the beach and played in the sand and rode the paddle boats. It was a great weekend! Hope everyone had a Happy 4th of July. We love you!

We finally went camping this weekend at Sardine Lake. We had a blast. The only issue was the mosquito's. We used repellent, but Casey still looked like he had chicken pox by the time we left. Poor little dude. He loved boating in our raft, catching polly-wog's, swimming with his life-vest and making smores! The area around Sardine Lake is gorgeous; lots of smaller lakes and hiking and waterfalls. We will definitely be back!
