Just sitting here thinking about time and how it passes so quickly and everyone tells you that but you don't believe them. Three years ago today I was in the throes of helping my sister Bridget with her wedding. We were hosting a bridal shower, shopping for make-up, etc. She married Chuck on September 10, 2005. Casey was 8 months old. We would soon discover he had his first ear infection. We celebrated the life of Pedar's Grandma Kathryn. Pedar turned 30-years-old. Casey was enjoying time swimming and he had just visited his first CA State Fair with his Nana. He was enjoying going hiking in his backpack and we felt like we were finally getting outside more. Man, life is soo good. We have so much to be grateful for.

We recently took Casey to Funderland in William Land Park. Last summer he was too small for most of the rides, but this year he can ride everything! Casey had a blast and he was happy to point out that Mommy can't go on the fun rides by pointing to the picture of the woman with a belly with a line drawn through her. Little does he know that I love roller coasters more than Pedar. Once I'm done with this pregnancy I will show him what real roller coasters are like!! Insert evil laugh...mwah ah ah!

Casey celebrated "Swim Olympics" at his school last night (at 5:30 p.m. in the 104 degree heat!!) He even got a gold medal!! He has been taking swim lessons all summer. We are so lucky that his school has a swimming pool on campus, his lessons have been at 10 a.m. every day. He has learned so much and he is so confident in the water. He wants to swim "by himself" all the time! We got great video of him swimming. Pedar will post that later. For now, here are some pics of the my little swimmer! We are so proud.

Yesterday Liam and Bridget came over to play. It has been REALLY HOT this week and Casey's little pool just doesn't hold air anymore. We had to make due with the little water table and the hose. Liam loved playing on Casey's big play-set. He was climbing the rock wall and sliding down the slides likes a pro. Casey loves playing with Liam and was sad when he left. I can see that these cousins are going to have a lot of fun together in the future!!!
The funniest part of the evening was when we sat down to dinner. Liam is using Casey's old "Cushie Tushie" now and he loves sitting at the table like a big kid. Bridget was giving him some pizza and after every bite he would bang on the table with this crazy grin. Enjoy the video of this adorable kid.

Casey loves to blow raspberries on my growing belly. He says, "That makes my brother laugh!" I think he is getting used to the idea that he is going to have a little brother. He told me yesterday that it is taking forever for him to come out.
We are working on projects around the house. Pedar mounted the TV over the fireplace and our computer is now going to live in a little cabinet in the living room. I am anxious to begin painting, decorating and organizing the nursery. The tiny little room has been a catch-all for clothes and crap for over a year. I love purging though -- so it will be easy for me to get all the stuff we don't need out or to give it away!! The less we own, the less I have to clean or organize. The house I grew up in was just a bit bigger than our house and there were three kids in that house. When I get overwhelmed by lack of space or closets, I think of that, and it helps calm me. My family just needs love and we have plenty of that to go around.
