Happy 70th Birthday, Jim/Dad/Pop-Pop!

We hope you have a super fun Birthday today, Jim/Dad/Pop-Pop! We love you very much! Here are a few Irish blessings to help you celebrate your 70th Birthday!!
May you have the hindsight to know where you've been, the foresight to know where you're going, and the insight to know when you've gone too far.

May the sun shine bright on your joyous days, and the rain refresh you through peaceful night.
May your pockets be heavy and your heart be light. May good luck pursue you each morning and night.

May you have: A world of wishes at your command, God and his angels close at hand, Friends and family their love impart, And Irish blessings in your heart.

May you be blessed with warmth in your home, love in your heart, peace in your soul and joy in your life.

Here's to a long life and a merry one. A quick death and an easy one. A pretty girl and an honest one. A cold beer and another one!

With the first light of sun, bless you. When the day is done, bless you. In your smile and in your tears, bless you. Through each day of all your years, bless you.

May green be the grass you walk on. May blue be the skies above you. May pure be the joys that surround you. May true be the hearts that love you.

Happy 4th Birthday, Erik!

Happy Birthday, Erik! We love you so much. I want to write down a few things about who you are right now so I can remember what you were like at four-years-old. You are silly and sweet. You have a bit of a temper, but your brother Casey torments you, so I can understand your anger. It's hard to be so much smaller than your playmate. You have beautiful eyelashes and curly hair. You give the sweetest kisses. You are potty trained and don't even ask for help to even turn on the light when you need to go. You gave up your binky right after you turned three. You barely missed it. You still need a nap and will crash in the middle of the day if you get too tired. Your teachers at Montessori tell us that you are the first to fall asleep and the last to get up.You don't have the best appetite. You only gained two pounds this year. You weigh 34 pounds. You go to sleep so easily. You just want a kiss and your blanket and you are out. You don't like meat or peanut butter. You run really fast and are fearless on your big wheel and scooter. You love hiking and being outdoors. You love helping me in the garden and you like helping Daddy fix things around the house. You LOVE Casey. He is your most favorite person in the world. You love your family and your dog and you LOVE your mimi blanket. You love your teachers and are a good student. You are a great artist, they call you Picasso at Montessori.
You love your family!

Your Aunt's love you so much!

You love Ava and Lola and wish we could go to Portland more.

You love your new cousin Rita!

You LOVE Megan!!

You LOVE Lindsey!

You love being at Nana's on Thursday's with your cousins!

Couch + Casey = Your favorite place with your favorite person!

Today you are four-years-old. We love you so much. Thank you for choosing us to be your family!!

The last two days

We spent Christmas Eve at Bridget and Chuck's.

Lila loved her fairy princess outfit!

Liam recently got glasses. He looks so handsome!

After we played at Bridget and Chuck's we went to 7 p.m. service at St. John's with Mor-Mor, Pop-Pop, Aunt Dagny, Janet and Bob. Erik complained he was hungry a few times and then he slept on my lap the rest of the service.
On Christmas morning the boys slept till 6:45 a.m.

Santa brought Casey a pogo stick and Erik got Marble Run. So much fun!

We arrived a bit after 9 a.m. to Mor-Mor and Pop-Pop's to spend Christmas Day with them and Aunt Dagny and Ferno. We opened presents and went and visited with the Elam's for a bit.

Mor-Mor and Pop-Pop got fly fishing lessons!

The boys got Green Machines!! They LOVE them!

Oops, Aunt Nora forgot to get something for Ferno. I'm sorry Ferno! I love you!

Karen struck a cute pose while we were checking to make sure the timer on the camera was working.

Jim and I tried to pose like Karen

Group shot!

We got home around 9 p.m. and got the boys ready for bed. While putting Erik to sleep he asked me, "Mom, when is it going to be Christmas again? I love Christmas!" Me too buddy. We missed Sierra, Leif, Ava, Lola, Margery, Rita and Arturas.
I went back to work today. It took me a bit of time to find my focus. Pedar is off the rest of the week--so he is hanging out with the boys.

I hope you all had a great time with family and friends and are feeling loved and happy!!
